David Spicer
Specialist in Regenerative Earthworks
Trained directly under Bill Mollison—the co-originator of permaculture.
Has the distinction of being Farm Manager at Tagari Farm & Zaytuna Farm with the Permaculture Research Institute, headed up by Geoff Lawton & later on in Tasmania for the Permaculture Institute
working directly with Bill Mollison.
This lineage places David among a very small number of practitioners who have implemented land
restoration systems at scale under the direct guidance of the discipline founder.
— 25 years professional practice — Australia, Middle East, North Africa, India, New Caledonia
David specializes in broad-acre land restoration and re-hydration earthworks — the physical
systems that determine whether a landscape holds water, recovers from drought, and remains
productive under real conditions.
His approach is distinguished by a single capability most designers lack: he operates the
machinery himself. Design decisions are made in real time, adjusted to real conditions as
they are revealed, and executed with a precision that remote design cannot achieve.
