Regenerative Farm Design

The foundation of every project.

Every project begins with understanding both the land and the people who will steward it.

Our Regenerative Farm Design bring together water harvesting, access, infrastructure, grazing systems, planting and future development into a clear implementation strategy tailored to the property and its long-term goals.

Water Harvesting

Slow it. Spread it. Sink it.

Water is the foundation of every productive landscape.

Through dams, swales, terraces and other water-harvesting infrastructure, rainfall is captured, stored and distributed across the landscape to improve resilience, productivity and long-term landscape function.

Earthworks

Designed and built by the same hands.

Many projects lose their integrity when the design and implementation are separated.

 

At Doc Spice Permaculture, David both designs and constructs the earthworks, maintaining complete control from concept through to implementation.

 

This direct involvement allows designs to be refined in real time and ensures every dam, swale, terrace and access system functions as intended.

The result is earthworks built with purpose, precision and a deep understanding of the landscape.

Access

The overlooked fundamental.

Access shapes how a property functions.

Roads and tracks influence movement, management efficiency, water flow and long-term maintenance. When thoughtfully integrated, they improve access while supporting the wider landscape system.

Every access network is designed to work with the land, not against it.

Care & Cultivation

After the earthworks, life begins.

Earthworks and infrastructure create the framework. Establishment brings the landscape to life.

From soil establishment and seeding to agro-forestry systems and managed livestock integration, each element is introduced at the appropriate stage to support long-term productivity and ecological health.

Overtime, the landscape becomes more resilient, more productive and increasingly self-sustaining.
